What’s going on?
Welcome to YouthMissionTrip.org. Our “Block Party” is a fund raising program of the Community Youth Fellowship 2007 Spring Mission group, Community United Methodist Church, Elm Grove Wisconsin. We are raising funds for our upcoming mission trip to Laurel Ridge Youth Mission Camp in Laurel Springs, North Carolina. You can find out more about the Laurel Ridge Youth Mission Camp by going to their website, www.laurelridge.org. Our group will be doing mission work with the people of North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains in and around Ashe and Allegheny counties from April 8th to April 15th 2007. This site is helping us raise money for our expenses in doing this mission work. We are looking for sponsors of the empty blocks you see on the “Block Party” page. Our goal is to get a sponsor for each block. When a block is sponsored another piece of the picture is revealed. If we get every block sponsored the picture will be complete and one of our many fundraising goals will be! You can join our block party by sponsoring one or more of our blocks. As a sponsor you will receive several benefits! First, your name will be added to our list of sponsors. You can see the current list of sponsors by clicking List of Sponsors. Second, you will be able to leave a message to the group. This message will appear whenever someone points to the block you have sponsored. Go to the “Block Party” and try it out. Once you’re there, just point to a part of the picture with your mouse pointer and you will see someone’s message appear. Third, you will know that over 80% of your sponsorship cost has gone directly to help cover our expenses for this worthwhile mission work. One of the many reasons why we decided to use this form of fundraising is because of the low overhead costs and large percentage of the sponsorship dollars our group gets to keep. Besides, its just plain FUN! There are several other sponsorship opportunities available on this site. Please look around our site. We think you will discover many interesting and fun aspects to our Block Party! |
